Award winner to be named by the Metro Atlanta Chamber and the Atlanta Business Chronicle at the 25th Annual awards luncheon on June 15

ATLANTA, June 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — CardioMEMS, Inc., an Atlanta-based medical device company that has developed and is commercializing a proprietary wireless sensing and communication technology for the human body, announced today that its founder and CEO, Jay Yadav, M.D., is a finalist for the 25th annual 2011 Business Person of the Year Awards in the Experienced Entrepreneur category. The awards are sponsored by the Metro Atlanta Chamber and the Atlanta Business Chronicle and will be presented at a luncheon on Wednesday, June 15 at the Loews Hotel in Atlanta.

In its 25th year, the Business Person of the Year Awards honor outstanding small business professionals from the metro Atlanta area. Dr. Yadav is a finalist in the “Experienced Entrepreneur” category, which recognizes achievement by an entrepreneur who has owned a business for at least five years and has demonstrated exemplary business achievement, customer growth, community leadership, industry influence and entrepreneurial success in the past year. The award also acknowledges a business owner who has earned public recognition and serves as a mentor for other entrepreneurs.
