Twelve gold, silver, bronze and honorable mention awards were presented at Sensors Expo in four categories: Sensors; Sensor Components; Technologies; and Data Acquisition. In addition to Martella, this year’s judges included Ed Ramsden from Lattice Semiconductor. Exhibitors submitted new product nominations, and entries were judged on the basis of potential impact, application, distinctiveness, timeliness and availability.
“The nominations demonstrated exceptional innovation, integration and ease of use,” said Martella. “We applaud them all.”
The MikroKera™ family of sensors utilizes Synkera’s unique micromachined, nanostructured ceramic microsensor platform made from anodic aluminum oxide (AAO). This patented microsensor platform offers an unprecedented combination of performance, reliability and scalability that will ultimately enable development of a complete family of sensors for existing and emerging industrial and commercial applications. The MikroKera™ sensors build on the outstanding market success enjoyed by Synkera’s ProKera™ series of sensors, while reducing power consumption by 75%. This advancement will allow detection of life and health threatening gases in conventional fixed systems, as well as new and emerging applications.
According to Stephen S. Williams, President and CTO of Synkera “We are extremely proud to receive this award. It reflects Synkera’s commitment to providing high performance yet cost effective products for the growing sensors market”.
